An opinion analyst in Kogi State, Odih Daniel, says no sane person should apply Governor Yahaya Bello’s declared vacancies in the Kogi State University, Anyigba.

Odih in a chat with DAILY POST on Sunday admonished the Governor to drop the idea of employing a new set of lecturers and settle his differences with the old and the experienced ones with whom he is at war.

He said: “We don’t cut off parts of our body because they cause discomfort. We treat them gently and make them work again.

“And for those who think they have found fertile grounds of new employment, the kettle should ask the pot what makes its back black!

“The Governor that cannot take care of the existing and the flexible workforce and workers he met cannot and will never be able to manage the green and the tyro employees he will take”.

Odih also recalled what transpired between the State Government and Medical Doctors who recently suspended their over one month old strike.

He said “Do you remember what happened between Gov. Bello and the medical doctors who went on strike for months and even soon afterwards he threatened to resume work or be laid off?.

“Can you still recall after his threats failed to convince the doctors to call off their strike, how he declared their positions vacant, and advertised that prospective employees should apply?

“The hungry and the jobless actually applied, in the hope that the governor who has not treated the old workers well would take them seriously.

“What happened to the millions of applications submitted then? The similar scenario is playing out here in the Kogi State University, Anyigba.”
