Football wonderkid Donovan Neil, has chosen reigning FIFA Best Player of the Year, Christaino Ronaldo as his favorite football idol.
Donovan, aged 6, believes that the prowess of the Portuguese Star Ronaldo, has no replica amongst other top players in his prime.
Donovan, an American citizen, who has started his football career with Euro Soccer Academy at age 3 vows not hide his love for the former Real Madrid top star, as a result of his off-the-field attributes to humanity.
“As a passionate young footballer, its always good when you have an idol in this path of profession, and that would enable you to have clue of what you want to become as a professional footballer,” he said.
“I have seen and heard of great footballers, but for me Ronaldo qualities and his quest to surpass many records in terms of hard work made me to ascribe him as the type of ‘Football Legend’. I want to become as I continue my football journey,” Donovan told SavidNews.
“The off field aspect of Ronaldo made me idol him so much, and even intoxicates me whenever I debate it with my friends.
“Ronaldo and Messi have been domineering in world’s football but I chose Ronaldo as my idol because he does ‘charity’. This is never part of football training but out of human kindness and his humanitarian Programme remains in the memories of the people he has affected positivity. Although, Messi might be doing something else but Ronaldo is a pacifier,” Donovan said.
Before European champions ouster from the World Cup, Ronaldo who has dumped Real Madrid for Juventus, scored four goals at the FIFA World Cup in Russia.
The Parents of Donovan Neil Banerjee brought their kid to the ongoing FIFA 2018 World Cup a month before his 7th birthday (July 15) to at least give him memory of the biggest football showpiece and geared toward motivation as he continue to combine football with education in Unite World College of South East Asia, Singapore.
