Imoh Ezekiel’s Liege Signs Ex-Chelsea star

Imoh_1Former Blues defender Tal Ben Haim has agreed a deal to join Nigeria Imoh Ezekiel’s Belgium side Standard Liege.

The 31-year old defender who was a free agent after leaving QPR in the summer spent nine years in English football with seven different clubs after signing for Bolton from Maccabi Tel Aviv in 2004.

The Israeli international who can play at either center back or right back on Wednesday signed a two-year contract with Standard Liege as confirmed by the club.

“Our club and the Israeli defender Tal Ben Haim reached an agreement this afternoon (Wednesday). The player has signed a contract for two seasons with the Rouches.”

“Standard Liege welcome Tal BEN HAIM and success in our colors,” the statement read on standard.be.

Born in March 1982 Ben Haim began his professional career at Maccabi Tel Aviv before moving to England in 2004 to join Bolton Bolton Wanderers and then Chelsea FC, Manchester City and Queens Park Rangers.

In May 2013 the defender who has bagged 71 appearances for the Israeli national team was loaned to Toronto FC.
