Kabba-Egbe Road: Awoniyi Pledges 100% Votes for Jonathan, PDP

For breaking a twenty year old jinx, the people of Yagba Federal Constituency, comprising Mopamuro,Yagba East and Yagba West LGA’s have vowed to deliver a hundred percent of their votes to President Goodluck Jonathan in the forth coming Presidential election.

Kogi State Deputy Governor, Yomi Awoniyi, made the vow in Mopa, Mopamuro LGA at the inauguration of campaign committees and ward canvassers for the Presidential and other elections slated for February, said the decision to vote for President Jonathan was occasioned by his courage to rehabilitate the Kabba-Egbe Road that had been neglected for over two decades by previous administration.

Awoniyi disclosed that the socio economic life of the area has once again bounced back to life following the award and the commencement of the on going construction of the Kabba- Egbe federal road, by President Jonathan, a road he noted had brought untold hardship on the people of the area.

Awoniyi described Yagba Federal Constituency as the bedrock of PDP, disclosed that the party’s manifesto’s was drafted in the constituency by founding fathers of the party.

The Deputy Governor urged the people of the area not to be deceived by the propaganda of the opposition political party, disclosing that the party aside lies and deceit have nothing to offer the people.

The Governor described the PDP as a party that stands for justice, said the party under President Goodluck Jonathan, has performed excellently in all sectors, assured that the people of the area stands to better more democracy dividends if the party is re-elected.

Awoniyi warned the people against what he called anti person, disclosing that the party would win convincingly in the forth coming election, and said those found wanting in anti party activities would face the party’s disciplinary consequences.

Awoniyi appealed for the people to vote all candidates of the party seeking election to the National Assembly from the area in the forth coming election, disclosing that, as ranking members of the National Assembly,the members stand better placed to attract democracy dividends to the area.

He added that the party is also presenting credible and vibrant State House of Assembly candidates in the general elections, urged the electorates to collect their PVC’s and to also turnout en mass and vote the PDP in the general election.

Also speaking at the flag-off, Hon Sunday Karimi, Member representing Yagba Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives and candidate of the constituency for the February election, said he is seeking reelection to enable him attract more benefits to the area.

Karimi called for the support of the people for all PDP candidates, and assured that they would work hard to justify their victory if re-elected.

Highlights of the campaign flag off, was the presentation of all the party’s candidates seeking election in the forth coming february election.
