Confluence Queens secured their first away win this season following a 1-0 victory over Pelican Stars at the UJ Esuene Stadium in the Nigeria Women Premier League Week Six matches played on Wednesday.

Similarly, newly-promoted Saadatu Amazon failed to secure their first win of the season as visiting Edo Queens forced them to a 0-0 draw at the Federal Polytechnic, Minna pitch.

The hosts, however, finally celebrated their first point of the season to end their run of five successive defeats.

Joy Bokiri and Aminat Yakubu were the heroines as Bayelsa Queens saw off Ibom Angels in a 2-0 win at the Nembe City Stadium.

While Osun Babes secured a 3-1 comprehensive victory over Delta Queens as the Omoluabi ladies picked their second win of the season.

A brace from Edewor Precious plus Kesiena Ojiyvwuo’s strike ensured Bashiru Liadi’s side sent the Asaba girls back home empty-handed from Oshogbo.

In Nekede, Heartland Queens were held to a 1-1 draw by FC Robo at the Federal Polytechnic pitch. Rasheedat Ajibade’s strike denied the host their second win of the season to help side secure their second point on the road this season.
