NNL: Gabros pip Stores to top, ABS run roit in Ilorin

abs fcExpectedly, Gabros Football Club of Nnewi has frog-jumped to the top of the table following its victory at the weekend as the Gabriel Chukwuma-sponsored team beat the visiting Lagos darling club, Stationary Stores by a lone goal.

With the win, Gabros now leads the Nigeria National League (NNL) Division B with 12 points while Shooting Stars of Ibadan which defeated Prime FC 2-0 at Adamasingba Stadium is in joint second position with Prime FC. Both have garnered 10 points respectively.

However, Wikki Tourist FC of Bauchi is still clinging onto the top position in Division A wit 12 points despite losing woefully at away. Spotlight FC walloped Wikki 2-0 at home to slow down the former premier league’s race back to the elite cadre.

Both Spotlight and Kwara United which also beat Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) 2-1 have only secured 10 points to tie with Mighty Jets and Adamawa United which also lost on the road at the weekend.

Elsewhere, clubs won huge victories to brighten their chances of moving up the ladder or swim out of the relegation waters. Below are all the weekend results.
