Nigeria U15 captain Oluwatobi Adelele has reaffirmed the commitment of his side to get off to a winning start when they battle Morocco in the Africa Youth Games opener on Thursday in Algiers.

The Future Eagles are reigning African champions following their title success in 2014 in Gaborone, Botswana and Adeleke, who is the team’s topscorer declared their readiness to make a statement in Algeria.

“We are here to make huge statements in this year’s Africa Youths Games, just like the way our predecessor performed at Botswana by winning gold,” Adeleke told SavidNews.com.

“This is another set of players with high level of commitment going by how far we had gone with series of quality friendlies before jetting out of our dear country, even as we were camped for over 2 months.

“Our coaches have made us understand the significance of the tournament and we are focused on writing our names in Gold. We are ready to take down any opponents in Algiers.”

Danladi’s boys will face the north African side by 6pm Nigerian local time later today in Algiers.
