3 suspects arrested over siphoning of petrol in Ondo State

In its determined war against pipeline vandalism, officials of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, in Ondo State have arrested three suspects for allegedly siphoning 33,000 litres of petrol.

The suspects were apprehended at Omotosho area of Ore in Odigbo Local Government council by officials of the corps who were on routine patrol.

According to the command, the suspects were arrested after weeks of surveillance.

They were arrested while trying to escape with about 33,000 litres of fuel siphoned from the vandalised pipelines.
Although some of them took to their heels, three others were, however, unlucky.

Parading the suspects, the State Commandant of the Corps, Abdulwaheed Popoola said the suspects were arrested after loading a tanker from a vandalised pipeline

However, the alleged oil thieves exonerated themselves from the illegal deal.

But in spite of their denial, the NSCDC boss say the suspects would be charged to court.
