Nigeria’s Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo on Saturday assured Nigerians that President Muhammadu Buhari and his cabinet will do their best to fix Nigerian economy and rid the nation of corrupt practices.

Osinbajo, who stated this at the grand finale of the annual Ereke Day festival held in Ikenne, Ogun State, emphasized that the country would not be remain its decaying state.

He disclosed that the Federal Government would play important roles in the burial of the late matriarch of the Awolowo dynasty, Hannah Idowu Dideolu Awolowo.

He explained that the reason was because the late HID was not just the wife of the first Premier of Western Region of Nigeria but wife of the first Leader of Opposition in Nigerian parliament and former Vice Chairman of the Federal Executive Council and Federal Commissioner of Finance.

He lamented that though Ikenne was one of the greatest towns in Nigeria and the world which has produced 10 Senior Advocates of Nigeria, SANs, among which he is one, its development was still far below expectation.

He, however, promised to do all within his capacity to ensure the youths of the town are mobilized and encouraged to foster the development of the town.
