Enyimba have arrived Morocco for a must-win Wednesday’s second leg of their Caf Confederation Cup semi-final clash against Raja Casablanca on Monday.
The Nigerian delegation comprising of 18 players and officials, including fans, hit Muhammed V International Airport, Casablanca – the city where they will face the Moroccan heavyweights.
Usman Abdullah’s side arrived in Casablanca on Monday morning after a four-hour long flight from the Muritala Mohammed Airport, Lagos with high expectations.
The People’s Elephant were defeated 1-0 in the first leg at the Enyimba Stadium in Aba and are hoping to overturn their one goal deficit to earn a progression to the final of the competition.
“I am happy to let you know that we [Enyimba] safely arrived Morocco for our Wednesday’s CAF Confederation Cup semifinal second leg match against Raja,” an official told Goal.
“We landed at the Muhammed V International Airport at 10:10am local time (same as Nigerian time). We had a four-hour 20-minute flight from the MMA, Lagos.”
A possible win by two-goal margin against Raja at the Mohammed V Stadium will be enough to power the Aba based side to it first ever final of the second tier Caf inter-club competition.
