Canada 2014: Falconet striker expect stiff South Africa challenge

Yetunde Adeboyejo has labelled Nigeria women U20’s second leg final round fixture in the qualification for Canada 2014 FIFA World Cup as a ‘ tough game’.

The African qualifiers continues with the West Africans visiting their South African opponents on 25th January 2014 and holding an healthy lead after winning 6-0 in Abuja.

The Bayelsa Queens goal machine scored two goals in the first leg encounter.

However, Yetunde, who knows the importance of Falconets building on their impressive first leg display expects a stiff challenge.

“Against South Africa at their backyard, it’s going to be a very tough game,” Yetunde, who scored 9 goals for Yenogoa side in the 2012/2013 Nigeria Women Football League said.

“We will try our best to do something important for Nigeria and ourselves. We want to go win and keep a clean sheet.”

On her level of patriotism to her country, she believes the ultimate is serving Nigeria.

“It’s about donning the national colours and doing well. My commitment to being a faithful Nigerian is always my priority” Yetunde said.

The 17-year-old player, also congratulated her soccer idol, Cristiano Ronaldo on his recognition as the world best player.

“I was so happy when my role model (Cristiano Ronaldo) won the FIFA Ballon D’Or, he fully deserves the honour.

On her targets for Canada 2014, the skillful forward preffered to let God direct her footsteps.

“It’s about getting to Canada, having patience and hoping the goals will come at the right time. I believe God will always show His mercies in my life,” the sharp shooter told futbalgalore.blogspot.com
