One of the players who represented Nigeria at the U-20 Women’s World Cup in Papua New Guinea has been hospitalized in the traumatic unit of a hospital in Abuja following the team’s return from Papua New Guinea.

SavidNews learnt the players were protesting poor treatment meted on them by the Nigeria Football Federation who offered N10,000 to each player for their campaign at the Fifa U20 Women’s World Cup.

it understood the paltry cash reward was the only money they received from the NFF since they opened training camp for the World Cup earlier this year.

Meanwhile, Falconets duo of Aminat Yakubu and Okeke Oyinye who recently lost their father were left depressed due to the Nigeria Football Federation’s inability to pay them.

Family members of the defender were expecting her to foot the bill for the burial, but she and her colleagues were handed a meagre N10000 by the football body on Wednesday afternoon to return home.

Shocked by the treatment, Ologbosere cried all through the night and reportedly collapsed the following morning before she was rushed to the hospital, before being admitted to the traumatic unit.

“She is totally shattered by this heartless treatment,” simply reported a team official at the Serob Legacy Hotel.

“It’s truly a pathetic case.”
