Crown pays players, officials outstanding bonus

Crown Football Club has off-set bonus of players and officials of the team ahead of its week 4 fixture of the Glo Nigeria Premier League against Sharks of Port Harcourt this weekend.

The Chief Operating Officer of the Club, Tony Rafua said the naira-rain is a motivational mechanism towards achieving a good result on the road to Port Harcourt.

“That motivation is a powerful tool at achieving enigmatic result in the game of football and exactly what the management has done to the whole house,” the club’s media officer, Kunle Olayinka quoted him as saying.

Meanwhile, Crown’s midfielder Femi Ajayi has assured the management that the trip to Port-Harcourt will be a fruitful and result-oriented one.

“We players have already agreed to corroborate our status on the log beginning from this weekend result not minding whose ox is gored! That Sharks is a good side in all ramifications but Crown too after posting good performances in the last two fixtures has no phobia for any team,” Ajayi said.

Crown who are placed 3rd on the log with 6 points garnered from identical victory over Heartland of Owerri and Dolphins of Port Harcourt in the week 2 and 3 respectively after a lone goal loss to Lobi Stars in Katsina-Ala in the league opener.

The Ajilete boys will hope to improve their away record this weekend when they trade tackles with Sharks on Saturday by 2pm at the Liberation Stadium, Port Harcourt.
