Eucharia Uche lauds Super Falcons over 4-1 win at Rwanda

falcons 3Ex-international, Eucharia Uche has hailed the Super Falcons for their impressive performance in Saturday’s Africa Women Championship (AWC) qualifier against the She Amavubi of Rwanda.

The Super Falcons won the first leg encounter by 4-1 in Kigali as they look good to seal the ticket in the return leg in a fortnight time.

Eucharia, who guided the Super Falcons to win the AWC in South Africa in 2010, said it was great performance from the former African champions as they have made the return leg in Abuja a mere formality.

“That was a very good display by the Falcons. Winning 4-1 at away in Kigali shows how determined they are to qualify for the AWC later in the year. The return leg in Abuja is going to be a mere formality,” she said.

She however warned the Super Falcons not to be carried away by the victory in Kigali because in football it is not over until it over.

“I think there is still 90 minutes to play, so my advice is that they must not be complacent. They just have to be as determined and finish the job in Abuja,” she said.
