Federation Cup: ABS Target Bayelsa Crash in Benin

ABS FC of Ilorin General Manager, Alloy Chukwuemeka has charged his team to go out for victory as they set for the battle in Benin against Bayelsa United in the Round of 32 Federation cup fixture on Wednesday.

“We are set for the game, the players and the technical crew are ready for the game. They are aware of the task ahead of them, progressing to the next round is our target. Our opponent are familiar foes which will make the job more easier for the squad. We are set to reach the next round and Bayelsa Utd will not survive it.” Chukwuemeka said.

Edo-Born midfielder, Stone Ebvoumwam will lead the team to his native state as they hope to edge their Yenegoa opponent in the epic tie.

“It will be a great privilege for Stone to play in front of his home town fans, reason why we honour him to lead the team through. Stone has a large fans base in Benin which will be another advantage for us.” He added.

Technical adviser of the club, Kabir Suleiman Dogo promised that the boys will not disappoint but come out victorious from the Benin fixture.

ABS FC defeated the Yenegoa side led by Ladan Bosso 2-0 in a League game few months ago in Ilorin.

“I’m very sure the boys will survive Bayelsa and move to the next round, we have set our target to do well in this year tournament.

The boys have promise to win this game for their fans who has been patient with the club despite some challenges in the league.

“We played them during the first stanza in Ilorin and we beat them well, though the cup game is always a different ball game but I’m optimistic the team will fly.” Dogo said.
