Federation Cup: Round of 64 draw move to June 10

Nigeria Football Federation have rescheduled the draws for the round of 64 games of the 2014 Federation Cup to June 10.

The event earlier billed to hold on May 29, 2014 could not hold because it coincided with the country’s Democracy Day celebration.

Confirming this development to Goal, NFF Coordinator of the competition Ruth David said the decision of the Federation to reschedule the draw was due to the clash it had with the country’s public holiday.

“The date for the draws was scheduled for today (Thursday), but we (NFF) have postponed it to June 10. This is because it coincides with the Democracy Day celebration which also takes place today (May 29),” David told Goal.

Enyimba are defending champions of the competition after defeating Warri Wolves 5-4 on penalties in the final of the 2013 edition held at the Teslim Balogun Stadium, Lagos.
