Give Okunland A State University – Kogi ALGON boss Begs Governor Bello

Alhaji Taofiq Isa, chairman of Association of Local Governments of Nigeria, Kogi state chapter, has appealed to Governor Yahaya Bello to establish a university in Okunland to improve education in the area.

Alh. Taofeek made the appeal while speaking at a reception organized in honour of the late Obaro of Kabba, Oba Michael Olobaniyi at Kabba.

He explained that the people of Okun believe in the leadership style of the Governor, stressing that the Okun people have suffered backwardness in terms of tertiary institution.

The Algon boss believes the establishment of the university in the area will give the people a sense of belonging and ensure easy access to education and provide employment for the unemployed.

Alhaji Taofeek who is also the Administrator of IJUMU local government area urged the people of Kogi West to support the Governor towards attracting democracy dividends.

He assured the Governor of the unflinching support of the people of Okun land to enable him deliver his promises to the people.
