Human Resources Institute Begins Conversion Courses

Nigeria’s leading human resources and strategic management institute, the Dynamic Institute, Lagos, Thursday announced the first batch of its conversion courses.

In a statement issued in Lagos by its registrar, Mr. Abel Minna, the institute said a conversion course with the theme ‘Human Resources and Strategic Management: A Key Factor to Organizational Performance’
would begin on Saturday, December 7, 2013 at Lagos Hall, LCCI Conference & Exhibition Centre, Bola Ahmed Tinubu Way, Central Business District, Alausa, Ikeja.

“This institute is committed to increasing the supply of high-level human resources skills and to supporting job-seekers into employment by providing opportunities for graduates from other disciplines to
re-skill for the expanding employment opportunities in the human resources and strategic management area,” the statement said.

The statement continued: “The objective of the course is to take graduates in non-human resources fields and augment their skills and knowledge in readiness to begin a career in the human resources industry. It is also designed to ensure that graduates are given both a base for continuing self-development and a set of skills which are transferable to the broader strategic management industry. These skill sets are reinforced with a strong emphasis on teamwork.”

The course is also to produce graduates with the required theoretical and hands-on skills to allow them to work and participate effectively in private and public sectors.

Lead facilitators include Prof. Ben Oghojafor, Professor of Strategic Management and former Dean, Faculty of Business Administration University of Lagos; Prof. Patrick Ehinen Oribabor, Professor of Human
Resources; Prof. Olajide Oladele, Dean, Faculty of Business Administration, University of Ado-Ekiti; Dr. Owolabi L. Kuye, Business Administration, University of Lagos; and Samuel Orovwuje, Senior Partner, Orovwuje and Associates.
