Ojo said that a victory against fellow league rivals Crown FC in the semifinal at Abeokuta is non-negotiable, promising a five-star performance in goal for the Jos’ Elephant.

“Now that God has got us to this stage, my ambition is for Giwa to be in the final and also win the Federation Cup. I think that will add to my status and repute in the national U20 team.

“I’m targeting a clean sheet against Crown. I approach every match as it comes with all seriousness. I’ve never taken any match as small, but continue to showcase myself.

“I’m fine and 100% prepared for the game. It’s not a new thing to me, I believe in God’s luck. The game against Enyimba means a lot to me as hope to continue to prove myself among the best in the country,” the Kogi-born rising star said.

On whether playing for the Jos based club has undermined his quality, the Flying Eagles invitee said his stint at Giwa has never overshadowed his ability as he remains determined and committed to his dream of becoming one of the best goalkeepers in the country.

“The club I’m playing for does not matter all. What matter most is about my determination, individual ability to excel? I can challenge any goalkeeper in the country not minding the club I’m playing for,” he responded to Goal.

Giwa FC who are newcomers to the Nigeria’s elite league division, will be playing in their first ever semifinal in the Federation Cup with Enyimba.
