Kogi SSG, Prof Jegede’s Daughter Weds, Awoniyi Tasks Couple on Love

Showing love and understanding to one another has been described by Kogi State Deputy Governor,Yomi Awoniyi as a basic ingredient to having an enduring marriage.prof jegede

The Deputy Governor described a peaceful home as what brings out the best in a marriage.

Yomi Awoniyi, who represented the State Governor,Capt Idris Wada, made the remarks at the reception ceremony after the wedding solemnization of holy matrimony between Idumafe Jegede and Tolulope Awobajo held at the cathedral church of St Peter Anglican Church Ogori-Magongo.

Awoniyi urged the couple to use their coming together to work towards a healthy environment that will assist people realize their ability and to contribute and strengthen nation building.

Awoniyi urged the couple to stay true to each other and to remain faithful.

He appealed to them to communicate always on issues that bothers them for a successful marriage life.

He urged them to put God first in all their doings adding that marriage aside its purpose for procreation, also offers companionship.

As part of his tips for a successful marriage life, Awoniyi called on the couple to be best behaved at all times,avoid third party interference,learn to agree and disagree,called on the couple to change for the better and be stronger in their service to God and mankind.

In his sermon, Rt Revd. Praises Efurosibina Omole Ekun, called on the couple to love and be faithful to one another adding that marriage is a covenant between two people who have become one.

He admonished the newly wedded couple to learn the act of forgiveness for one another and to be weary of external influence when resolving marital issues.

Rt Revd. Omole Ekun urged them to remain faithful to one another adding that difficult challenges in successful marriages are usually solved when couples discuss their differences with love.

In his remarks, Prof Olugbemiro Jegede,Secretary to Kogi State Government and father of the bride,thanked those who graced the occasion,wished and prayed for a successful married life for the newly wedded couple.

The immediate past governor of Kogi State,Alh Ibrahim Idris was among dignitaries that attended the wedding ceremony,charged the couple to imbibe the lessons of hard work and humility as exemplified by their parents,most especially,Prof. Olugbemiro Jegede,whom the former governor described as one of the successful academics the state has produced.
