Governor Umaru Al-makura Tanko of Nasarawa state has donated a new 32-seater aid-conditioner buss to Nasarawa United Football Club to ease transportation difficulties.
According to statement received from the Special Adviser to Nasarawa State Government on Sports, Silas Agara, while presenting the surprise package urged the players and officials of the club to make good use of the bus.
He said the Governor Al-makura led administration places high premium on sports development hence his decision to present a bus, pay 50% sign on fee of the players, prompt payment of salaries and match bonuses to the players which according to him will go a long way to galvanising them to ain higher.
The governor commended the players and officials for the success recorded so far, urging them not to be discouraging with the result of some matches which they lost.
He urged them to redouble their efforts in remaining matches so that at the end of the season they will secure a continental ticket.
He reiterated his administration’s zero tolerance to indiscipline and therefore call on the players to always obey instructions from their officials
so as to be good ambassadors of Nasarawa state wherever they go.
