‘Nigeria Can Rise If We Have Leaders That Address Our Pain’ – Kumuyi

The General Superintendent of Deeper Christian Life Ministry, Pastor William Folorunsho Kumuyi and Professor Pat Utomi have told youths to recognise that they are the country’s future with the ability to turn around its challenges.

They spoke, yesterday, at a youth programme themed: “The Gathering of Unstoppable Achievers” held at the Deeper Life Bible Church, International Headquarters, Gbagada, Lagos.

The cleric told youths that when there is life, there is hope, especially when there is that unflinching desire to move forward, hope becomes certain. He underscored the importance of planning and team spirit, aside relying on God.

Kumuyi said the choice of the theme was premised on the fact that the impressionable minds of young people are potentials waiting to be discovered and unleashed for greatness.

“It is unfortunate that many youths are engaged in damning activities that are sure to destroy their potentials and stop them from reaching and achieving their God-given goals,” he said.

Utomi, who was the guest speaker, told the youths to recognise that they have the ability to overcome challenges. He drew participants’ attention to the importance of entrepreneurship and good leadership to personal and national development.

“As 21st century youth, you can make Nigeria rise again, but this can only be achieved, when we have true leaders who know how to address people’s pains,” he said.
