It was also gathered that the governor has concluded on a deal with President Goodluck Jonathan to fully support the latter’s 2015 re-election bid. Mimiko will declare “in a matter of days”, sources have said.

The Ondo governor had recently collapsed his political structure, the ‘Iroko Frontiers’ into a Jonathan re-election group called

‘Believe Nigeria, Trust Goodluck’ as part of moves to work towards the re-election of the President. But apparently not satisfied with that the presidency is said to have asked the governor to ‘formally move in with the PDP to consolidate both Jonathan’s re-election bid and also up the ante of the PDP onslaught against the APC in the South-west Geo-political zone,” sources further stated.

Also the political body language in Ondo State is now said to be picking a cue from that of the governor as his supporters across the state have started making preparations towards the formal declaration for the PDP.
