APC Women mobilise support for Tinubu's 2027 Re-election

The First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu; wife of the Vice President, Hajia Nana Shettima; and other leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) have called on women across the country to support the re-election of President Bola Tinubu and Vice President Kashim Shettima in the 2027 general elections.

The call was made on Monday in Abuja during the inauguration of the APC Presidential Women Campaign Council, where the First Lady urged women to mobilise support for the party’s candidates from the presidency to the governorship, National Assembly and state assemblies.

Senator Tinubu also announced plans for six zonal mega rallies, culminating in a grand finale in Abuja, as part of efforts to mobilise women nationwide ahead of the 2027 elections.

Addressing the gathering, the First Lady conveyed President Tinubu’s appreciation to Nigerian women for their support, saying he “believes in the power of women and cares about Nigerian women.”

She said, “Let me start by saying thank you. Thank you for standing with him. Thank you for believing in the Renewed Hope Agenda. Thank you for your determination to vote for Mr. President for a second term. Thank you for praying and for not giving up on Nigeria.”

Speaking on the administration’s policies, Tinubu said the theme of the campaign, _“Renewed Hope Agenda 2.0: From Reforms to Prosperity,”_ reflected what she described as progress under the administration.

She cited economic indicators, support for farmers and access to student loans through the Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND) as examples of the government’s achievements.

“As you go back to your various states, tell everyone that you have a leader who is bold enough to take difficult decisions at the beginning. He is a leader who can be trusted to lead us into prosperity,” she said.

The First Lady urged women to remain united in support of the APC, saying, “Let us show the world that Nigerian women have spoken. We speak with one voice, and we will vote APC again so that the solid foundation that has been laid can be built upon.”

She further disclosed that the various women support groups had been brought together under a single structure, the APC Presidential Women Campaign Council, to coordinate mobilisation efforts for the 2027 elections.
