CAF unveils new trophy and visual identity for Futsal AFCON 2026
The Confederation of African Football, CAF, has unveiled a new visual identity and trophy for the TotalEnergies CAF Futsal Africa Cup of Nations, ushering in a new chapter for the continent’s premier futsal competition.
The unveiling comes ahead of the official draw for the 2026 tournament, scheduled to take place in Rabat on Monday, August 10.
CAF says the refreshed identity is designed to reflect the growth, energy, and ambition of African futsal while capturing the speed, creativity, skill, and competitive intensity that have become synonymous with the five-a-side game.
The new trophy takes the same modern approach, with a striking design built around strong diagonal lines symbolising the pace and movement of futsal.
Five golden arches form the centrepiece of the trophy, representing the five players on the court for each team. At the top, a final arch depicts the team captain lifting a ball engraved with the map of Africa — a symbol of the ultimate prize of being crowned continental champions.
The trophy also features a matt-gold map of Africa against a shiny gold-plated background, underlining the competition’s continental significance.
At the base is the engraved name of the tournament, while the reverse carries a roll of honour featuring the competition’s previous winners and celebrating its history.
CAF’s introduction of the new identity and trophy is part of its broader effort to elevate futsal’s profile across Africa and showcase the continent’s growing quality and competitiveness on the international stage.
The TotalEnergies CAF Futsal Africa Cup of Nations Morocco 2026 will be held from October 12 to 21, with eight nations set to battle for continental glory.
The qualified teams are hosts Morocco, Algeria, Angola, Egypt, Libya, Mozambique, Tanzania, and Zambia.
With the draw set to determine the road to the title, attention now turns to Rabat as Africa’s leading futsal nations prepare for another chapter in the competition’s history.
