Imo Striker Queens seal NWFL Premiership promotion
Imo Striker Queens have booked their place in the Nigeria Women’s Football League (NWFL) Premiership after a decisive 2–0 victory over Ghetto Tigers Queens on Friday.
The win, coupled with Osun Babes’ 0–0 draw against Moje Queens in the South West derby, ensured Striker Queens extended their winning streak to three matches and sealed promotion with a game to spare.
Anoke James broke the deadlock in the 37th minute before Chiamaka Damian doubled the advantage in the 77th, securing a landmark moment for the club as they reach the top flight for the first time.
With all four promoted sides now confirmed, the 2025 NWFL Premiership is set to deliver plenty of excitement, and Imo Striker Queens will be eager to leave their mark among Nigeria’s elite.
