Nigeria quartet crowned champions as Slavia Praha crush Jablonec

 

 

Nigerian quartet of Igho Ogbu, David Moses, Samuel Isife, and Mubarak Suleiman have emerged champions of the Czech Republic after Slavia Praha sealed the league title in emphatic fashion with a commanding 5-1 victory over Jablonec.

 

The dominant win saw Slavia Praha open an unassailable seven-point lead over fierce city rivals Sparta Praha with only two matches remaining in the season.

 

Samuel Isife was among the scorers in the entertaining encounter, capping off a memorable night for the Nigerian contingent. Defensive rock Igho Ogbu and midfielder David Moses also featured prominently for the champions, while youngster Mubarak Suleiman was named among the substitutes.

 

Slavia now sit comfortably on 77 points from 33 matches, confirming their supremacy in the Czech topflight and underlining the growing influence of Nigerian talents at the club.

 

The title triumph marks another major milestone for Ogbu, who has enjoyed an impressive campaign at the heart of Slavia’s defence, while Isife’s goal further highlighted his rising profile in European football.
