Nigeria striker Victor Osimhen continued his goalscoring form for Galatasaray on Friday, finding the net in the Turkish Super Lig clash against Başakşehir before an injury forced him off in the first half.

The Super Eagles striker opened the scoring in the 17th minute with a powerful effort that struck the underside of the crossbar before bouncing down and over the goal line.

The referee initially allowed play to continue, but a VAR review confirmed that the ball had crossed the line, handing Osimhen another goal for the Turkish champions.

The strike underlined the Nigerian forward’s sharpness in front of goal and his growing influence in Galatasaray’s attack.

Osimhen continued on the pitch after scoring but was unable to complete the first half. He appeared to experience discomfort after a subsequent attacking move and was eventually substituted in the 33rd minute.
