President Federation Cup draw set for Friday

The Nigeria Football Federation will conduct the draw ceremony for the national phase of the 2026 President Federation Cup on Friday at the NFF Secretariat in Abuja.

The ceremony follows the conclusion of the national playoff fixtures, where four teams were eliminated from the women’s category and six sides exited the men’s competition.

A total of 32 teams will battle for glory in the women’s tournament, while 64 clubs have secured places in the men’s competition as the race for Nigeria’s oldest domestic cup competition intensifies.

Defending champions Kwara United headline the men’s category alongside several heavyweight contenders including Shooting Stars, Rangers International, Bendel Insurance, Rivers United, Nasarawa United, Ikorodu City and Barau FC.

In the women’s competition, holders Rivers Angels will be aiming to defend their crown against strong opposition from Nasarawa Amazons, Bayelsa Queens, FC Robo Queens, Ibom Angels and Naija Ratels.

The national competition is expected to produce thrilling fixtures as clubs from the Nigeria Premier Football League, lower divisions and grassroots teams prepare for a shot at silverware and continental qualification.
