South West derby, Rivers Angels vs Abia Angels steal President Federation Cup Round of 16 spotlight
The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has officially released the fixtures for the Round of 16 of the 2026 Federation Cup Women’s competition, with several heavyweight clashes set to headline the knockout stage on Tuesday, June 2, 2026.
One of the standout fixtures will see Rivers Angels battle fellow Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) side Abia Angels in Eket, Akwa Ibom State, while Lagos-based FC Robo Queens face Southwest rivals Remo Ladies in Akure.
In Enugu, Ahudiyannem Queens will take on Heartland Queens in an Oriental derby, as Confluence Queens square up against Eshington FC in another highly anticipated encounter. Defending NWFL champions Bayelsa Queens will confront Ibom Angels in Awka, while Delta Queens face a stern test against Edo Queens.
Elsewhere, Plateau United Queens will lock horns with Sunshine Queens in Abuja, while Naija Ratels and Nasarawa Amazons renew their North Central rivalry in Kaduna.
According to the fixtures released by the NFF Competitions Department and signed by Director of Competition Ruth David, most matches will kick off at 4:00pm, except the fixtures involving Ahudiyannem Queens vs Heartland Queens and Ibom Angels vs Bayelsa Queens, both scheduled for 1:00pm.
The Federation Cup Round of 16 fixtures promise thrilling contests as teams continue their quest for national silverware and continental qualification opportunities.
