Super Eagles Defender Ndah Impresses on Stellenbosch Debut

Olisa Ndah made a winning debut for Stellenbosch FC as they secured a 2–1 home victory over Chippa United in the South African Premier Division.

The Super Eagles defender, who recently joined the Stellies from Orlando Pirates, delivered a composed performance and lasted 84 minutes before being replaced by Wonderboy Makhubu, who was later shown a red card.

Stellenbosch took control of the contest in the first half thanks to a brace from Tshegofatso Mabasa, giving the home side a comfortable 2–0 lead heading into the break.

Sinoxolo Kwayiba pulled one back for Chippa United from the penalty spot in the 81st minute, but it proved too little too late as the hosts held on to claim all three points.

Ndah, who was deployed in a defensive midfield role, showed his versatility with a commanding display, completing the game with a perfect record in clearances and tackles.

The former Akwa United defender had seen his debut delayed due to work permit issues, but he made an immediate impact on his first appearance.

The victory moves Stellenbosch up to eighth place on the table with 28 points as they continue their push for a strong finish to the season.
