Victor Osimhen suffers another Transfermarket value drop to £65m

Victor Osimhen has suffered another significant drop in his Transfermarkt market valuation, with the Galatasaray and Super Eagles striker falling from €75 million to €65 million in the latest update.

The €10 million decrease comes after a summer in which the Turkish Super Lig attracted several high-profile names, including Mohamed Salah, Rafael Leao and Dusan Vlahovic.

Osimhen’s latest valuation represents a four-year low. He was last valued at €65 million in June 2022, when he was 23 and had spent just over two years at Napoli following his move from Lille.

When Osimhen joined Galatasaray on loan in September 2024, he carried a €100 million market valuation, making him the most valuable player in Super Lig history at the time.

Transfermarkt subsequently reduced his valuation to €75 million following his move away from one of Europe’s top five leagues. His value later fell to €70 million before climbing back to €75 million after Galatasaray completed his permanent €75 million transfer from Napoli in July 2025.

As recently as May, Transfermarkt maintained Osimhen’s €75 million valuation, pointing to his status among the elite strikers in world football and continued interest from major European clubs.

The latest revision leaves Osimhen €55 million below his career-high valuation of €120 million, which he reached during his time at Napoli.

Despite the reduction, Osimhen remains the most valuable player in the Turkish market. Leao is valued at €50 million, while Vlahovic stands at €35 million and Salah at €22 million.

The drop comes despite Osimhen making an impressive start to the 2026/27 campaign. The Nigerian has scored six goals and provided two assists in four league appearances for Galatasaray, a run that might ordinarily be expected to strengthen his market value.

However, his season has been interrupted by injury. Osimhen has yet to feature for Galatasaray in the Champions League or represent Nigeria in the AFCON qualifiers after sustaining an injury during league action in September.
