Super Eagles coaches have vehemently denied compiling the list of the Super Eagles players that would prosecute the two international friendly matches against Mali and Luxembourg.

One of the newly appointed caretaker coaches who spoke on condition of anonymity stated that the list was drawn by the technical committee of the Nigeria Football Federation and was released to the public on their behalf.

The coaches who are essentially locally based just concluding their CAF Licence A coaching course in Abuja last Saturday have faced heavy criticized from fans even the Abuja based sports editors for neglecting the home based players.

But in a sharp reaction the coaches have come out to deny the list.

And to give credence to their denial, the chairman of the NFF technical committee, Chris Green had told some media organizations in Nigeria that they were forced to select majorly foreign based players in order to save cost.

He stressed that the football house is not at the moment buoyant and will cost them less for the players to easily assemble in Europe for the two international friendly matches.

The leadership of the Nigeria Football Federation is still in search of a foreign technical adviser as they have lost hope in the ability of the local coaches to effectively handle the team to the level they desire. But, that move is been faced with some opposition as the minister of Youth and Sports, Solomon Dalong is yet to give them the final approval.
