CAF rejects Rangers' request for closed-door clash against MC Alger
The Confederation of African Football (CAF) Disciplinary Committee has rejected Rangers International’s request to have their second-leg encounter against MC Alger played behind closed doors.
The decision means the decisive fixture will go ahead with supporters allowed into the stadium.
Rangers head into the encounter with a 2-0 advantage from the first leg and will be aiming to protect their lead and secure progression to the next stage of the competition.
Despite the rejection of their request, the Nigerian side must now prepare for the challenge of facing MC Alger in front of their home supporters as both teams battle for a place in the next round.
