Nigeria’s Flamingos have arrived safely at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja, following their successful campaign at the 2026 WAFU-B U-17 Girls Cup in Yamoussoukro, Côte d’Ivoire.

 The team touched down at 7:45 p.m. and was received at the airport by officials of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF).

 The Flamingos enjoyed a perfect campaign in Côte d’Ivoire, winning all five of their matches to emerge champions of the 2026 WAFU-B U-17 Girls Cup.

 Their individual performances were also recognised, with Kemi Adegbuyi, who recently received a call-up to the Super Falcons, named the tournament’s Most Valuable Player.

 Nigeria’s Uzoma Onyinyechi was also honoured after being named the tournament’s Best Goalkeeper.

 With the WAFU-B title secured, attention now shifts to the 2026 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup, where the Flamingos will look to build on their impressive continental campaign.
