Igoche Mark urges Kida to surpass President Tinubu's goals
Mr. Igoche Mark, a prominent basketball promoter and the founder of the Mark D' Ball Basketball Championship, has conveyed his sincere congratulations to Engr. Ahmadu Musa Kida on his recent appointment as the Chairman of the Board for the Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC) Limited.
Engr. Kida, who is also the President of the Nigeria Basketball Federation (NBBF), was appointed by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR on Wednesday, as part of a broader restructuring of the NNPC Limited board.
In his response, Mark expressed his respect for Kida's new role, remarking, "This is a remarkable accomplishment for Engr. Kida. His vast experience, capabilities, and qualities make him an outstanding candidate for this vital position. With over forty years in the oil sector, he possesses invaluable expertise."
Mark encouraged Kida to utilize his basketball background, both as a player and an administrator, to propel the NNPCL towards ambitious objectives. "I urge him to apply his passion and leadership skills from the basketball arena to the oil industry, a field he has navigated since 1985," Mark stated.
"President Tinubu has established ambitious goals, aiming to elevate oil production to two million barrels per day by 2027 and three million by 2030, alongside increasing gas production to eight billion cubic feet daily by 2027 and ten billion by 2030. I am confident that Engr. Kida possesses the vision and resolve to surpass these targets," Mark concluded.
