Joy Omewa bags brace as BK Håcken thrash IK Uppsala 9-0

Joy Omewa marked her first home start for BK Häcken in style, scoring twice as the Swedish side cruised to a 9-0 victory over IK Uppsala at the Nordic Wellness Arena on Matchday 21 of the OBOS Damallsvenskan.

The Nigerian forward, who joined BK Häcken during the summer, opened the scoring in the 10th minute after being set up by Thelma Pálmadóttir.

BK Häcken continued to dominate and added three more goals before half-time, with Tabby Tindell, Tilde Karlsson and Anna Anvegård all finding the net to give the hosts a commanding lead.

The home side maintained their attacking momentum after the break, with Anvegård adding two more goals to complete her hat-trick and extend the advantage to 7-0.

Tindell then completed her own hat-trick before Maja Bodin rounded off the emphatic 9-0 victory with her first goal for the club.

The result brings Round 21 to a close for BK Häcken, with the team now set to observe the national-team break.

BK Häcken will return to Damallsvenskan action on Sunday, October 25, when they host Hammarby IF.
