NPFL: Enyimba pick first win against Shooting Stars as Rangers, Rivers earn points

 

 Enyimba produced the biggest result of Wednesday’s Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) fixtures, defeating Shooting Stars 4-2 in Aba.

 Richard Ezinna opened the scoring for Enyimba in the seventh minute before Damian Chibueze doubled the advantage in the 29th minute. Idris Abubakar added a third nine minutes later, while Ifeanyi Ihemekwele made it 4-0 shortly after the restart.

 Shooting Stars pulled two goals back through Mustapha Adams Agba'a in the 76th minute and Johnmark Aule in stoppage time, but Enyimba held on for a 4-2 victory.

 In Katsina, Rivers United came from behind to secure a 1-1 draw against Katsina United. Samson Olasupo put Rivers United ahead in the 47th minute, while Sani Mubarak equalised for the hosts three minutes later.

 Rangers International recorded a narrow 1-0 away victory over Warri Wolves, with Godwin Obaje converting a penalty in the 11th minute to settle the encounter.

 Meanwhile, Sporting Lagos and Ikorodu City played out a goalless draw.
