Nigeria Aquatic Federation collaborates with World Aquatics to host Level 2 Coaching Clinic

The Nigeria Aquatic Federation (NAqF), in collaboration with World Aquatics, will host a National Level 2 Coaching Clinic aimed at enhancing the technical expertise of swimming coaches across the country.

The coaching course, which will be facilitated by renowned expert Cedric Finch, is scheduled to take place at the swimming pool of the MKO Abiola National Stadium, Abuja, from June 19 to 22, 2025.

A total of 46 coaches from across the federation have registered for the training, following the close of registration at 12 noon on Friday, June 13, 2024. The clinic will include both theoretical and practical sessions, equipping participants with in-depth knowledge of modern coaching techniques.

Speaking ahead of the program, the President of the Nigeria Aquatic Federation, Chief Mrs. Chinonye Daphey Aliyu, emphasized the importance of continuous development for coaches. “The aim of organizing events like this is to equip coaches across the nation with the required skills and bring them up to speed with modern trends, as well as the ever-evolving rules and regulations governing the sport,” she said.

The initiative underscores the Federation’s commitment to raising the standard of aquatic sports in Nigeria and fostering professional excellence in coaching.
