Former Nigeria international forward Desire Oparanozie and Super Falcons captain Rasheedat Ajibade have paid heartfelt tributes to retiring defender Osinachi Ohale, hailing her as a dependable servant and true legend of Nigerian women’s football.

 Ohale recently announced her retirement from international football after a distinguished career with the Super Falcons, bringing down the curtain on more than a decade of service to the national team.

 Oparanozie, who shared the pitch with Ohale for both club and country, reflected on their journey from their early days in football to representing Nigeria on the biggest international stage.

 “Oke nwannem, you ate everything and left no crumbs. From our days of early beginnings to when we wore the green and white with pride, you have remained solid and reliable,” Oparanozie wrote in a tribute to her former teammate.

 Thanking Ohale for her contribution to the Super Falcons, Oparanozie added: “Thank you for your service, and goodluck for the future.”

 Ajibade also joined the chorus of tributes, praising the veteran defender for her unwavering commitment to the national team and the dedication she showed every time she wore the Nigerian colours.

 “Thank you, Osi @OhaleOsinachi, for everything you gave to Nigeria. You defended this badge with your whole heart, every single time,” the Super Falcons captain wrote.

 The midfielder expressed her pride in Ohale, saying her contribution had earned the admiration of the entire Super Falcons family.

 “I’m so proud of you. The whole Super Falcons family is proud of you. You are a true legend,” Ajibade added.

 She also wished the former defender well as she begins a new chapter away from international football.

 “Enjoy this next chapter. You’ve earned it ma’am,” Ajibade concluded.

 Ohale enjoyed a long and distinguished international career, becoming one of the Super Falcons’ most experienced defenders and representing Nigeria at several major tournaments.

 Her retirement marks the departure of another key figure from the national team, with former teammates and current players coming together to celebrate her lasting contribution to Nigerian football.
