Rinsola Babajide's last gasp header secures point for AS Roma in six-goal thriller

Super Falcons winger Rinsola Babajide struck deep into stoppage time to rescue a dramatic 3–3 draw for AS Roma Women against Parma Women in Sunday’s Serie A Femminile clash.

Babajide, introduced from the bench, rose highest to head home in the ninth minute of added time, extending Roma’s unbeaten league run to seven matches. It was the 27-year-old’s third goal in Roma colours and her first league strike since her Serie A debut, when she also found the net in a 4–0 win over Parma in October 2025.

Parma made a fast start and took the lead through Kerlly Real, but Roma responded with Manuela Giugliano calmly converting from the penalty spot. The hosts regained the advantage before the break as Danielle Cox made it 2–1, and Veronica Benedetti stretched Parma’s lead shortly after the restart with a third goal in the 54th minute.

Parma’s task became more difficult when Hawa Cissoko was sent off after picking up two yellow cards in quick succession, handing Roma a numerical advantage for the closing stages.

Roma capitalised on that advantage late on. Giugliano converted her second penalty of the afternoon to cut the deficit, setting up a tense finale. With time almost up, Babajide delivered the decisive moment, powering a header past the goalkeeper to complete the comeback and secure a point.

Babajide’s compatriot, Shukurat Oladipo, also featured for Roma, starting in defence and playing her part in a hard-fought contest.

The draw keeps AS Roma top of the Serie A Women standings with 29 points, five clear of second-placed Inter. They will turn their attention next to a crucial fixture against AC Milan.
