High Chief Alhaji Abdulmajid Solademi has been officially unveiled and inducted as the Patron of the Police Community Relations Committee (PCRC) FCT Safe School Initiative.

The unveiling was held on Thursday, August 27, 2026, during the official launch of the PCRC Safe School Programme at the Conference Hall of the FCT Police Command on Old CBN Road, Garki, Abuja.

Solademi, who is the Chairman of Air Warriors Basketball Club of Abuja and Chairman/CEO of Yajifarz Cargo, was recognised for his contributions to community development, youth empowerment and initiatives promoting safety and social development.

The ceremony was conducted by PCRC National Chairman, Alhaji Mogaji Ibrahim Olaniyan, alongside the PCRC FCT Command Chairman, Chief Rufus Ebegba, and the Commissioner of Police, FCT Command, Prof. Sanusi Mohammed.

The Safe School Initiative is designed to improve security in educational institutions while strengthening cooperation among the police, schools, parents, communities and other stakeholders in safeguarding students, teachers and school facilities.

Speaking after his induction, Solademi thanked the PCRC leadership and the FCT Police Command for the confidence placed in him.

“I am deeply honoured and humbled by this recognition and the confidence reposed in me to serve as the PCRC FCT Safe School Patron,” he said.

He stressed the importance of providing children with secure learning environments, describing education as the foundation of every progressive society.

Solademi pledged to work closely with the PCRC, Nigeria Police Force, educational institutions, parents and other stakeholders to support measures aimed at improving the safety and security of schools across the FCT.

He also highlighted his longstanding commitment to youth development through sports and empowerment programmes, noting that young people need safe and supportive environments to develop their potential.

“This appointment is not just an honour; it is a call to service,” Solademi said, pledging to deploy his experience, network and resources in support of the Safe School Initiative.

He further commended the PCRC for its efforts to strengthen cooperation between the police and members of the public.

The PCRC Safe School Initiative is part of the committee’s broader commitment to community participation in security and the creation of safer learning environments across the Federal Capital Territory.
