Africa Women's Club Volleyball Championship: Al Ahly sets date for Gold match, CFC to compete for bronze

Record-holding Al Ahly will face Zamalek in the Egyptian final on Sunday after defeating CFC with a score of 3-0 (25-15, 25-23, 25-21) on Friday.

 

This match was significant for the defending champions, Ahly, as they took on their rivals, CFC. Ahly established an early advantage, showcasing powerful hitting to secure the first set with a score of 25-15.

 

In the second set, Ahly continued to demonstrate their competitive spirit, initially taking the lead. Their well-structured play and solid defense allowed them to outmaneuver CFC, ultimately winning the set 25-23. Ahly's blocking capabilities and adaptability prevented CFC from gaining any substantial momentum in the third set.

 

Ahly executed a strategic display, energizing the crowd and drawing inspiration from their support. The score was tied at 7-7 as CFC appeared poised for a comeback. However, Ahly regrouped effectively, stunning the Tunisian team and clinching the set 25-21.
