Al Ahli secure Valentin Atangana's future with new deal
Saudi Arabian club Al Ahli have confirmed a one-year contract extension for French midfielder Valentin Atangana, keeping the 21-year-old at the club until the summer of 2029.
The Jeddah based side announced the agreement on its official website, expressing its commitment to retaining the services of the promising midfielder as the club continues to pursue its ambitions.
“Al Ahli Football Club has extended the contract of French midfielder Valentin Atangana for one more year, keeping him at the club until 2029,” the club stated.
Reacting to the development, Atangana expressed delight at extending his stay with the Royals, pledging to maintain his commitment and help the team achieve greater success.
“I’m very proud to continue wearing the Al Ahli shirt and happy to carry on this journey with my teammates. We have big ambitions and important goals ahead of us, and I will continue to give everything I have for the team, contribute to achieving more success and, above all, make our fans proud,” he said.
Atangana joined Al Ahli last summer from French club Stade Reims and has since contributed to the team's success, including its successful defence of its continental crown. His performances have strengthened his position within the squad, prompting the club to secure his services for an additional year.
The midfielder has represented France at various youth levels, from the Under-17 team to the Under-21 side, but is yet to make his senior international debut.
With his future now secured at Al Ahli until 2029, Atangana will look to continue his development and establish himself as an important figure in the club's pursuit of further honours.
