CAF Disciplinary Committee to review Rangers-MC Alger first leg incidents

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) Disciplinary Committee will meet via video conference on Thursday to review incidents that occurred during the first-leg encounter between Rangers International and MC Alger in the second preliminary round of the CAF Champions League.

CAF has received video footage of the incidents, which will be examined by the committee as part of its review of the match.

Both clubs will also have the opportunity to respond to questions during the proceedings before the committee reaches its decision.

The review comes amid heightened security concerns surrounding the two-legged tie, with CAF taking steps to address the incidents reported during the first encounter in Nigeria.

The disciplinary proceedings are expected to provide an opportunity for the continental football governing body to assess the available evidence and determine any appropriate action in line with its regulations.
