Nigeria goalkeeper Comfort Erhabor has completed a move to Crystal Palace Women, beginning a new chapter in the Women’s Super League after leaving Portsmouth.

The Nigeria international joins Crystal Palace following a brief trial spell with Swedish club AIK, where she trained with the team while considering her options after her departure from Portsmouth.

Erhabor ultimately opted to remain in England, completing her move to Crystal Palace as the London club prepares for another campaign in the Women’s Super League.

The transfer represents another important step in the development of the young goalkeeper, who has continued to build her career in European women’s football.

Before joining Crystal Palace, Erhabor spent the 2025/26 season with Portsmouth, gaining valuable senior experience in England’s second tier.

Her spell at Portsmouth followed earlier development with Brighton & Hove Albion, while she has also had experience with West Ham United and loan spells at Hibernian and Plymouth Argyle.

The move to Crystal Palace will now give Erhabor the opportunity to compete at the highest level of English women’s domestic football.

Crystal Palace secured promotion to the Women’s Super League after finishing second in WSL 2 last season, earning their place among England’s elite women’s clubs.

For Erhabor, the transfer comes after a busy period that also included her brief training stint with AIK in Sweden.

The Swedish spell provided the goalkeeper with an opportunity to maintain her fitness and explore another European option before Crystal Palace emerged as her next destination.

Erhabor’s progress has also attracted the attention of Nigeria, with the goalkeeper making her senior Super Falcons debut in 2026.

She was subsequently included in Nigeria’s squad for the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco, giving her further exposure to the senior international environment.

Although she did not feature during the tournament, her inclusion underlined her growing status within the Super Falcons setup.

Her move to Crystal Palace is therefore significant not only for her club career but also for her ambitions with Nigeria, as regular exposure to WSL football could strengthen her international prospects.

The goalkeeper will now face competition for the starting position at Crystal Palace as she adapts to the pace and demands of top-flight English football.

For the Eagles, her arrival provides another option between the posts and adds depth to their squad following their promotion to the WSL.
