Confederation of African Football (CAF) President Dr Patrice Motsepe will preside over a virtual meeting of the organisation’s Executive Committee (EXCO) on Thursday, October 22, at 14:00 GMT.

The meeting is expected to address key issues concerning CAF competitions and upcoming events across the continent.

A major item on the agenda is preparations for the CAF Ordinary General Assembly scheduled to take place in Nigeria on November 21

The committee will also review arrangements for the CAF Super Cup final, billed for South Africa on November 8, as well as the CAF Beach Soccer Africa Cup of Nations in Senegal.

Preparations for the 2026 CAF Awards ceremony, scheduled to hold in Lagos on December 7, will also feature prominently during the virtual meeting.

In addition, the EXCO members are expected to discuss the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) bidding process and other matters relating to the continental showpiece.

The meeting forms part of CAF’s ongoing efforts to coordinate its competitions, strengthen its administration and ensure the successful organisation of its major football events.
