DreamStar Ladies, Rangers Women stay unbeaten as promotion battle heats up in 2025 NWFL Nationwide
Dreamstar Ladies and Rangers Women maintained their unbeaten runs and edged closer to promotion after playing out a goalless draw in the 2025 NWFL Nationwide in Abuja.
It was a cagey but well-contested game between two disciplined sides whose defensive solidity has defined their impressive campaigns so far. Rangers have conceded just once in the competition, while Dreamstar has shipped only two goals, and both defences held firm again, leaving neither side able to find a breakthrough.
The stalemate keeps Dreamstar on top of the table with 10 points from four matches, while Rangers sit second with 7 points, keeping the promotion race tight and competitive.
Elsewhere, Plateau Queens were held to a thrilling 2–2 draw by C2E Sports Academy. Agnes Ohuche opened the scoring for C2E before Juliana Abwo struck twice to turn the game around for Plateau. But Ohuche had the final say, grabbing a late equaliser to rescue a point. Plateau remains in contention with 4 points, while C2E sits at the bottom with 1.
In Group B, Solo Wonders FC climbed to the summit with a 2–1 victory over Rosaria Victrix. Jessica Obinna netted a brace to overturn an early opener from Priscilliac Oforhaihe, giving Solo Wonders a one-point edge at the top. Rosaria remains close behind on 6 points, with Alexander Queens on 5 after playing out a 2–2 draw with NAF Queens in another end-to-end affair.
With only a few games left in the campaign, Dreamstar and Rangers remain in control of Group A, while Solo Wonders lead the charge for promotion from Group B.
