Nigeria's U-17 national team head coach Eboboritse Uwejamomere has named a 25-man squad for the WAFU-B U17 Championship, which kicks off in Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso, on Saturday.

Uwejamomere is banking on the selected players to deliver a strong performance as Nigeria begin their quest for qualification for next year’s U17 Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco.

Five-time world champions Nigeria have been drawn in Group B alongside Niger Republic and hosts Burkina Faso, while Group A features Ghana, Togo and Benin Republic.

The Eaglets’ squad comprises three goalkeepers, seven defenders, eight midfielders and seven forwards.

The Nigerian team is scheduled to depart the country on Tuesday morning and will have eight days to fine-tune their tactical and technical preparations before beginning their campaign on October 14.
