FCC Chair Omidiran's Ward delivers win for APC in Osun Governorship Election

The Executive Chairman of the Federal Character Commission (FCC), Hon. Hulayat Motunrayo Omidiran, has delivered a decisive result for the All Progressives Congress (APC) in her ward in the ongoing Osun State governorship election.

At Ward 08, Unit 02, Irewole Local Government Area, Ikire, the APC secured 283 votes, comfortably defeating Accord, which polled 48 votes.

The result represents a strong showing for the APC in Omidiran’s immediate political base and comes amid a keenly contested governorship election across Osun State.

The APC is seeking victory with its governorship candidate, Bola Oyebamiji, as the party battles its major opponents, including incumbent governor Ademola Adeleke under Accord Party for control of the state.

Omidiran’s ward result is expected to attract attention as results from across the state continue to emerge, particularly as influential political figures and their strongholds are being closely monitored during the electoral contest.

The outcome from Ward 08, Unit 02 adds to the APC’s early momentum as collation of results progresses, with the final result expected to be determined by the cumulative performance of the leading candidates across the state.

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) is expected to formally announce the final outcome after the completion of the collation process.
